LOCKDOWN LIFTING

It has been quite a few weeks since I last added a blog. The reason of course is simple, I had nothing to say as like the rest of you I was at home doing very little to talk about!

Thankfully at the date of writing this and thanks to the easing of restrictions some normality has returned. Notice I didn’t say ‘new normal’. I for one am totally opposed to the notion that what we are doing now should ever be accepted as normal….. it isn’t. What it is is a temporary solution to the current situation and one which we all should be looking forward to ending.

I was delighted to visit the barber for a haircut. I was delighted to sit INSIDE a coffee shop with a friend and have a chat and I am delighted that I shall be visiting the gym again this weekend. Yes some things are different but soon normality will return. It happened way back after the Spanish flu and it will happen again after this Chinese virus.

As yet I am not working as Cruise ships are still paused and so far that is the situation until November. Theatres still have been given no dates or procedures to start back so panto this year has still to be confirmed. I am looking forward to returning to the many venues that I perform in soon and hearing the laughter waft back from people enjoying themselves once more.

Take care in the meantime.
